Islamabad:
The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) has extended distribution of emergency relief to support families impacted by the recent floods in Gilgit Baltistan.
Relief distributions are already underway in some of the worst-hit districts, including Ghanche, Nagar, Ghizer, Shiger, Hunza, and Gilgit, where thousands of vulnerable families are receiving urgently needed food supplies and shelter kits.
For this response, KSrelief has allocated 1,000 shelter kits and 3,000 food packages. Each shelter kit consists of a tent, solar panels with LED lights, two thermal blankets, plastic mats, a sturdy kitchen set, a water cooler, and antibacterial soap. Each food package weighs 95 kilograms and includes wheat flour, sugar, lentils, and cooking oil — meeting the immediate nutritional needs of affected households.
The distribution effort is being carried out in close collaboration with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), the Gilgit Baltistan Disaster Management Authority (GBDMA), local administrations, and KSrelief’s implementing partner, Hayat Foundation. This cooperation ensures that aid is delivered swiftly, transparently, and effectively to the most vulnerable communities.
This emergency response highlights Saudi Arabia’s solidarity with the people of Pakistan during times of hardship. Through KSrelief, the Kingdom continues to provide timely humanitarian aid wherever it is most needed, reinforcing the strong ties of partnership and goodwill that bind the two countries.
Together, we restore dignity, rebuild lives, and bring lasting change.
We provides urgent and long-term support through clean water, food, healthcare, education, and safe shelter with compassion and dignity.
