The Hayat Foundation established over 50 non-formal education schools in Punjab, particularly in:
- South Punjab: Three districts received non-formal education schools under a UNICEF-funded program.
- Faisalabad: 12 Non-formal education centers were established at brick kilns, on cluster basis. ,
These schools not only provided education but also offered skill development programs, including:
– Electricity
– Stitching
– Adda work (embroidery or other traditional crafts)
By combining education with vocational training, the foundation aimed to empower children and adults in these communities, enhancing their prospects for a better future.
